Sewing – where it all began!

Yesterday, we had a day out in Torquay, which we try to do a couple of times a year, as my grandparents lived there when I was growing up. I think more than anywhere it feels like home even though it has completely changed since I was little!

I thought whilst I was there yesterday that I should post a few photos of my very first hand and machine sewing which I did when I was about 6 years old with my grandma so I guess really that’s where it all began even though I had a massive break from sewing in my teens and twenties!

She also started my love of many other crafts like bobbin lace which I still do whenever I have a chance to get my lace pillow out!
