My next few blog posts will (probably!) be about the different things that I currently make so I thought a good starting point would be to write about where I get my fabrics from as without the fabric I wouldn’t be making anything at all!
I like to get all of my fabrics from local suppliers and most of my fabrics come from Material Needs in Burnham-on-Sea and Barrington Patchwork at Barrington Court, but I do also pick up fabric from the craft shop at Monkton Elms Garden Centre near Taunton and from Yandles in Martock. I’ve found an amazing selection of fabrics available in these four wonderful shops and all of the staff are so friendly and helpful.

Barrington Patchwork and Material Needs are now used to me flying in on my way to work or with my 3 year old daughter to pick up a piece of fabric for an order and usually coming out with far more! However, sometimes I have time to stay for a couple of hours browsing the fabric and chatting through ideas for new projects. The owners (and staff) of both shops are so supportive and keep inspiring me with their new ranges of fabrics. I’m so lucky to have both of these shops so near to me!
